As part of the mission Essen has opened its operation in India in 2017. The newly built 50,000 sq. ft. USDA/FDA standard plant at KINFRA Food Park near Calicut University, Kerala is a sate-of-the-art facility poised to meet the growing needs of nutritional products in India and abroad.

Dr. Madhavan Anirudhan

President Essen Nutrition Corporation.Dr. Madhavan Anirudhan is at the helm of Essen Nutrition as its President. A multifaceted, multi-talented Nutrition Scientist with numerous distinctions to his credit, he is dynamically leading the company towards new goals and opportunities. Dr. Anirudhan holds Ph.Ds in Nuclear Chemistry as well as in Nutrition. From the position of a Professor of Chemistry, he later shifted role to a practicing nutritional technocrat. He was the Corporate Director of R&D for Sandoz Nutrition, Consultant to several US food companies like Dean Foods, Kraft Foods, Sara Lee and Kroger Corporate Technology and also was a Member of the Food Label Regulatory Committee of US FDA. He was conferred with the Best R & D Scientist Award by National Food Processors Association, U.S.A. in 1997 and he is one of the first Certified Food Scientists (CFS) from the Institute of Food Technologists, U.S.A. In 2007, he was honored with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, The President of India.
